Here at Makesy, we offer several different types of wooden candle wicks. The best way to determine which wick will work best for your project and/or candle-making business is to use our wick selection guide and conduct a test burn with our sample kit.

ultimate wood wick
The ultimate wood wick is a combination of our crackling wick (various thicknesses, widths, and lengths available) combined with the newly developed engraved booster going vertically down the center of the crackling wick. This is ideal for various waxes to promote better and more consistent flow, that will provide an amazing throw and provide more consistency.
natural crackling wooden wicks
This is our premier, all natural crackling wooden wick, made from native, sappy fruit trees, sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified mills, and manufactured in the USA. This wick is available in a variety of thicknesses, widths, and lengths for use in all wax types. Great for 100% paraffin and coconut waxes.
single-ply whisper wooden wick
Our all-natural, single-ply whisper wicks are made from a sweet mid-west softwood and are sourced from FSC-certified mills. The whisper wick is lighter in color than all of our other wicks and when combined with the original crackling wooden wick, together they create a unique visual effect.
crackling booster wooden wick
The crackling booster wick is a combination of our crackling wick (various thicknesses, widths, and lengths available) combined with a 3/16” crackling wick booster adhered vertically down the center of the crackling wick. An ideal option for vegetable wax blends, beeswax, and candles with a heavy fragrance or dye load.
whisper booster wooden wick
Our all natural, single-ply whisper booster wicks are made from a sweet Mid-West softwood and are sourced from FSC-certified mills. The whisper booster wick is lighter in color than all of our other wood wicks and is combined with a 3/16” crackling wick booster adhered vertically down the center of the single-ply whisper wick.
tube & spiral round wooden wicks
Round wicks are (in our humble opinion), the most unique and innovative wooden wicks on the market. We offer both tube and spiral styles. Made from sappy fruit trees and sourced from FSC-certified mills and made in the USA, round wood wicks provide a gorgeous circular-shaped flame. Alone, they will produce a 2-2.5” diameter melt pool and work well with all wax types.
x wicks
X wicks create a visually unique point of difference in your candle creations and form a playful cylindrical flame when burned. X wicks come with some assembly required. They feature two pieces with careful cuts that fit uniquely together to form the finished X wick.
color wicks
Our eco-friendly color wicks are made from FSC Certified Wood with a proprietary, non-toxic dye. The color does affect burn performance but adds a creative element to your candle design.
word wicks
Our word wicks come with 10 different word options ranging from dream and hope to cozy, calm, and peace. You can use word wicks to set an intention with your candles or theme them for special celebrations. It's an incredibly unique touch that will make your candles stand apart.
